Keyaki Review

This upscale Japanese restaurant is located in Marina Square, within a tranquil rooftop garden replete with a koi pond, stone lanterns, bamboo, and pavilion. Keyaki's attentive staff are dressed in kimonos and happi coats, and the menu's traditional Japanese fare includes what is perhaps Singapore's best teppanyaki, a mix of meat and vegetables stir-fried right at your table. Sushi and sashimi sets are also recommended.

Ongoing SIN Japanese Dining Delight for Family & Business

Rather recently (late-December, '13), returned to this refined establishment with the loved one, and my beloved and part-time Scotland dwelling sister #1 and her beloved. Fine as ever, with the most gracious and welcoming staff; Keyaki friendships established over the past few years via business and celebratory luncheons and dinners.

[Immediate disclosure: not certain if this establishment is in my ongoing "top ten" for Singapore dining (rather spoilt for choice in our fine home of SIN), but will say, Keyaki has always delivered; cuisine, service, ambiance. And, she remains an all-time sentimental favourite, largely due to said sister and her life-long Japan fascination - as noted in my earlier Fodor's reviews of various Tokyo and Glasgow hotel/dining establishments.]

Concerning Keyaki's culinary choices, well, have never been steered wrong by sister #1 and various visiting Japanese business colleagues; enjoy.

[Will also suggest procuring advance reservations, particularly for Friday and Saturday evening dining.]

Savour your Japanese dining in SIN.
