Les Amis
Les Amis Review
Mingle with Singaporean tycoons and celebrities at the island's finest French restaurant. Chef Gunther Hubrechsen has created sublime à la carte options—standouts are langoustines with Iranian caviar cream, and roasted suckling pig with truffles—as well as three-course business lunch, six-course table d'hôte, and vegetarian dinner menus. Admire the adjoining bar's chandelier and curtain-draped wine cabinets before adjourning to the dining area, which has tables surrounded by subtle screens. There's an impressive wine list, as this is Singapore's only restaurant to have won Wine Spectator's Grand Award. Enter from the street on Claymore Hill.

AskOksena, from Singapore - San Francisco (work/homes)
A recent family celebration at this rather dear dining establishment in our home of Singapore was as special as ever. (Most of my evenings at Les Amis have been business related with colleagues and clients.)
One member of our far-flung family is quite the wine aficionado and he was not disappointed with the restaurant's offerings. Staff extremely cordial and exceptionally well informed. Over the years, I've gotten to know some of the staff and they are a delight, from moment of arrival to departure. Perhaps one reason the service has never disappointed. (Indeed, upon arrival - and should it be a first visit - will suggest enquiring of the waitstaff their suggestions for the evening.)
A rather pricey (particularly if one enjoys wine) locale, but fine food and great staff and friends. Thank you, Les Amis; looking forward to more business and pleasure visits.
