The Merlion
The Merlion Review
This monument is the mascot of Singapore tourism; it's a 10-story off-white "lion fish" creature that emits laser beams from its eyes and smoke from its nostrils. It even glows in the dark. To get to the observation tower, you walk through a pirate cave exhibition, which uses animation and theater effects to introduce visitors to the mysteries of the sea through The Legend of the Merlion.
