Here you'll see a cottage industry designed to help the Chinese take care of one obligation to their ancestors: making sure they have everything they need in the afterlife. Here, paper models of the paraphernalia of life -- horses, cars, boats, planes, even fake money -- are made for relatives of the deceased and ritually burned so that their essence passes through to the spirit world in flames and smoke. Note that although the items may tempt you to chuckle, this is a very serious Chinese custom; try not to offend the proprietors.
