2 Best Nightlife in Myanmar

50th Street

Fodor's choice

50th Street is a proper pub, one that's been honing its craft since it opened in 1997. Today, the bi-level bar remains enormously popular with expats, foreign tourists, and a few middle-class Burmese. The extensive menu includes a selection of pizzas; portions are hearty, the better to be washed down with a good selection of beers, wines by the glass, and decent cocktails.

Min Min's

This sweet little eatery doubles as a western-style watering hole, with good cocktails. It's a family affair, with Min Min and his wife running things and their daughter Soe Soe acting as a runner. Visitors tuck into heaping plates of pasta with homemade pesto washed down with proper piña coladas, made with plenty of rum and fresh lime. Nearly 10,000 miles from Havana, Min Min's mojitos are spot on, a most welcome refreshment after a hot day of touring. Min Min's also offers tour services, though we caution you not to sign up for any treks after your second mojito.
