Nam Phu
Nam Phu Review
A filet mignon as good as any you can find in Paris is one of the specialties at this very French restaurant on central Nam Phu Square. The dish, which comes with a blue-cheese sauce, is one of several savory creations on a menu also distinguished for its seafood and freshwater fish. There's an excellent wine list, with prices for bottles starting at a very reasonable $12.

Vientianeboy, from Vientiane, Laos
I am really curious as to who writes Fodor's reviews. A fillet as good as in France? You have got to be kidding. This restaurant is expensive and while the food is ok, there are far better places to eat in Vientiane for less money.
