There is little in the way of sights here—its more a place to book tickets, go to the bank, and deal with any kind of communications or business before moving on to Champasak, Tad Fane, or the 4,000 Islands. One night should be enough (unless using Pakse as a base for visiting Champasak or elsewhere as a day tour).
