Momijidani Koen (Red Maple Valley Park) Review
Many people spend only half a day on Miyajima, but if you have more time, take a stroll through the park that is inland from Itsukushima Jinja. A steeply priced cable car goes a mile up, stopping nearly at the summit of Misen-dake (Mt. Misen). It's a short hike from the upper terminus to the top of the mountain, where you can look out over Seto Nai-kai and all the way to Hiroshima.
