Red Pepper Review
A short walk down a narrow alley from Omotesando Crossing, this cozy bistro is in the trendy shopping district. Guests squeeze into tiny antique school chairs and desks topped with candles in the homey dining room. The cuisine is constantly changing, but most diners ignore the printed menu in favor of the daily recommendations chalked on blackboards (mainly in Japanese) propped up here and there. Previous specials lean toward French-accented comfort food, like button mushrooms grilled in garlic and olive oil, or porcini-and-cream-sauce fettuccine.
