Mori Art Museum

Mori Art Museum Review

Occupying the 52nd and 53rd floors of sparkling Mori Tower, Mori Art Museum is one of the leading contemporary art showcases in Tokyo. Though lacking a permanent collection, the space is well designed (by American architect Richard Gluckman), intelligently curated, diverse in its media, and hospitable to big crowds. The nine galleries occupy 2,875 square meters for exhibits that rotate every few months and tend to focus on contemporary architecture (Le Corbusier), fashion, design, and photography.

We recently attended The Kaleidoscopic Eye at the Mori Art Museum. The exhibition itself was amazing but so was the Museum located high up in the tower at Roppongi. Admission included the fantastic view over all of Tokyo. I recommend going to watch the sunset and the lights of Tokyo coming on. It was open till 10pm.
