Odaiba Kaihin Koen

Fodor's Review:

Odaiba Kaihin Koen is the closest point to the beach and the site of two massive shopping complexes. Aqua City has four floors of boutiques, movie theaters, cafés, and eateries—including a Starbucks and Hanashibe, an excellent sake-brewery restaurant on the third level. Overlooking the harbor is Decks Tokyo Beach, a five-story complex of shops, restaurants, and boardwalks in two connected malls. Daiba Little Hong Kong, on the sixth and seventh floors of the Island Mall, has a collection of Cantonese restaurants and dim sum joints on neon-lighted "streets" designed to evoke the real Hong Kong. At the Seaside Mall, a table by the window in any of the restaurants affords a delightful view of the harbor, especially at sunset, when the yakatabune (traditional roofed pleasure boats) drift down the Sumida-gawa from Yanagibashi and Ryogoku.
