Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu

Fodor's Review:

The key to this unremarkable but very convenient hotel, which is within the towering Mark City complex, is access: local shopping options are aplenty, Shinjuku is a 5-minute train ride to the north, and the Narita Express departs from nearby Shibuya Station frequently each morning. The rooms, decorated in shades of beige and yellow, are plain but comfortable. North-facing rooms on the 10th floor and above (including the two "ladies-only" floors on levels 23 and 24) afford views of the Shinjuku skyline. The vibrant Estacion Café, above Shibuya's insanely busy "scramble intersection," serves drinks and small snacks. Perhaps equally enjoyable is the lobby vending machine, with its robot-arm dispenser.

  • Hotel Details: 407 rooms, 1 suite
  • In-room: refrigerator, Internet.
  • In-hotel: 3 restaurants.
  • Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V
  • Subway: JR Shibuya Station (Hachiko Exit)
