Conrad Tokyo

Fodor's Review:

The Conrad welcomes you to the Space Age with a Japanese twist. Elevators shoot upward in the slick, green-hue Tokyo Shiodome Building to the 28th floor, the location of a lobby of dark oak paneling and bronze lattices. Straight-edge counters in shades of blue and Japanese-lantern illumination come together in the bar areas. The high-ceiling rooms allow for nice views of the bay or the city from a pair of low-back sofas. Motorized blinds and 37-inch plasma TVs with DVD players housed in lacquer boxes are thoughtful touches. Highlights in the bathrooms include dual sinks, rain-shower showerheads, and separate tubs (complete with rubber ducks). The complicated layout of Shiodome can make for difficult access.
