Asakusa View Hotel Review

Upscale Western-style accommodations are rare in Asakusa, so the Asakusa View pretty much has this end of the market to itself. Off the marble lobby, a harpist plays in the tea lounge. The communal hinoki (Japanese-cypress) baths on the sixth floor overlook a Japanese garden. The best of the Western-style rooms are on the 22nd and 23rd floors, with a view of the Senso-ji pagoda and temple grounds. There's a karaoke room in the basement and the hotel's a three-minute walk from the retro amusement park, Hanayashiki; more than 100 years old, its rides have that Coney Island feel to them.
