Fodor's Review:

This is simply the best place in Tokyo to sink a cold one. The picture-perfect summertime beer garden looks like a budget buster, but it's run by the Asahi brewery and offers refreshments at a price anyone can afford. Most evenings, kimono-clad nihon-buyo dancers perform to the strains of shamisen music. Sekirei serves Japanese- and Western-style food to a demure after-work crowd. Drinks start at ¥700.

  • Open: June-Sept., weekdays 4:30 PM-10:30 PM, weekends 5:30 PM-10:30 PM; dancers perform two or three times nightly at varying times
  • Subway: JR Chuo Line, Shinanomachi Station
