Kenzo Tange's Shinjuku Park Tower has in some ways the most arrogant, hard-edged design of any of the skyscrapers in Nishi-Shinjuku, but it does provide any number of opportunities to rest and refuel. Some days there are free chamber-music concerts in the atrium. There are many international and Japanese restaurants to choose from in the building, and the skylighted bamboo garden of the Peak Lounge on the 41st floor of the Park Hyatt Hotel, part of the tower, was the set

location of the Oscar-winning film Lost in Translation.
