Yoyogi Koen

  • Address: Jinnan 2-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

Fodor's Review:

This is the perfect spot to have a picnic on a sunny day. On Sundays, people come here to play music, practice martial arts, and ride bicycles on the bike path (rentals are available). Be sure to look out for a legendary group of dancing Elvis impersonators, who meet at the entrance every Sunday and dance to classic rock 'n' roll music. There is also a community of homeless people who live in orderly, clean camps along the periphery. Sundays and holidays, there's a flea market along the main thoroughfare that runs through the park, opposite the National Yoyogi Sports Center.

  • Subway: Chiyoda subway line, Meiji Jingu-mae Station (Exit 2); JR Yamanote Line, Harajuku Station (Omotesando Exit)
