Fodor's Review:

High on the edge of the Imperial Palace moat, this park is famous for its cherry tree blossoms, which appear in spring. The most popular activity in this garden is renting rowboats on the moat at the Chidori-ga-fuchi Boathouse. The entrance to the garden is near Yasukuni Jinja.

  • Cost: Park free, boat rental ¥500 for 30 min during regular season, and ¥ 800 for 30 min during cherry blossom season
  • Open: Park daily sunrise-sunset, boathouse daily 9:30-4, usually late Mar.-early Apr.
  • Subway: Hanzo-mon and Shinjuku subway lines, Kudanshita Station (Exit 2)
