Dating to 1925, this theater was built for the geisha of the Shimbashi quarter to present their spring and autumn performances of traditional music and dance. It's a bigger house than the Kabuki-za, and it presents a lot of traditional dance, kyogen (traditional No-style comic skits), and conventional Japanese drama as well as Kabuki. Reserved seats commonly run ¥2,100-¥16,800, and there's no gallery.
