Fodor's Review:

Originally built around 1857 for Japanese comic monologue performances called rakugo and since rebuilt, Suzumoto is the oldest theater operation of its kind in Tokyo. The theater is on Chuo-dori, a few blocks north of the Ginza Line's Ueno Hiroko-ji stop.

  • Open: Continual performances daily 12:20-4:30 and 5:20-9:10
  • Subway: Ginza subway line, Ueno Hiroko-ji Station (Exit 3)
