Fodor's Review

Kawabata Dori is where people come in the evening to sample the regional hot-pot dishes shottsuru-nabe (a salty fermented sandfish stew) and kiritanpo-nabe (a chicken stew), drink ji-zake (locally brewed sake), and to enjoy the lively bars. It's six blocks west of the Atorion Building, across the Asahi River and slightly south.
