Oirase Keiryu Hotel Review

Since it was once a ryokan, this resort hotel feels like a hybrid: two meals are served; yukata robes are provided (and you are encouraged to walk around in them); there are both Japanese- and Western-style rooms, but it's a large hotel. The magnificent lobby is dominated by a soaring chimney decorated by Okamoto Taro, and the windows look out to a beautiful natural setting. The onsen offers great mountain views, and the dinner buffet offers a choice of Japanese, Chinese, and Italian food, as well as a Western-style breakfast. There's a free shuttle bus from the JR Hachinohe Station (90 minutes).

    Hotel Details

  • 36 Western-style rooms, 153 Japanese-style rooms.
  • Rate includes some meals.
  • Closed end Nov.--end-Mar.
