Isshin Review
Only 16 seats grace this kappo (counter) restaurant to the east of Kita-shinchi, where the food is prepared and then immediately served by the chef. Ordering the omakase (chef's suggestion) dispenses with menu anxiety. The quality and quantity reflect Osaka's reputation for good food at reasonable prices. Sashimi, tempura, crab, and whatever is in season will be on the menu with a range of premium sakes to accompany them. Isshin is east of Mido-suji and Shin-mido-suji near the American consulate. Go down the street with the convenience store on your right and Isshin is about 100 yards on the left.
