Getting Here and Around

All Nippon Airways has five flights daily between Tokyo and Toyama. Toyama is 30 minutes from Takaoka by JR local, 1 hour from Kanazawa by JR Limited Express, and three and four hours north of Kyoto and Nagoya, respectively, by JR. Toyama has a network of streetcars that can take you to most destinations within town. Other than as a base to see some of the surrounding area, there is not much reason to linger in Toyama. It makes for a convenient overnight stop, however.
