Shukunegi Review

This town has become a sleepy backwater town since it stopped building small wooden ships to traverse the waters between Sado and Honshu. It has, however, retained its simple lifestyle and traditional buildings that date back more than a century. You can reach Shukunegi from Ogi on a sightseeing boat or by bus. Both take about 20 minutes; consider using the boat at least one way for the view of the cliffs that an earthquake created 250 years ago.
