Trek out to the Awagami Hall of Awa Handmade Paper to make your own postcards and browse their phenomenal gift shop; it goes from sheets of softer-than-silk wrapping paper to peerless fans and parasols. It's also something of a pain to get to by train. It's one hour to Awa-Yamakawa Station, then walk 15 minutes to the hall.
