Kinokuniya Book Store is open daily 10-10, except for the third Wednesday of the month. It's across the street from the Mido-suji entrance of Osaka Station in the Hankyu Station complex. Random Walk Osaka is west of Mido-suji in America-mura and is open daily from 10 to 8. Take Exit 7 from Shin-sai-bashi Station on the Mido-suji Line.

Kansai Time Out (www.kto.co.jp) is a monthly publication listing events in Kobe, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka and has topical articles written for travelers and residents. It costs ¥300, and is available at all major bookstores in the region. Kansai Scene (www.kansaiscene.com/\) is a free monthly magazine catering mainly to Osaka residents and travelers, and is available at major hotels and bars.
