$$$-$$$$, Kita-ku
Fodor's Review:
As Japan's first cylindrical skyscraper -- known as the Maru-Biru (Round Building) -- the Dai Ichi stands out. The rooms are wedge shaped, and half are small singles usually occupied on weekdays by businesspeople. At the restaurant in the basement you can try your hand at cooking takoyaki at your table. It's conveniently across from Osaka Station and next to the Hilton Osaka.
