Even though rooms at the Miyako are on the small side, they are light and airy, with wood-paneled headboards. The bathrooms, meanwhile, are large by Japanese standards. Backlighted modern artworks and ceramics adorn the busy foyer and other public areas. All rooms have tables. The private Kintetsu Line Ue-hon-machi Station next door runs trains to Nara and Kyoto. The National Bunraku Theater and Shitenno-ji are also fairly close.
