Dojo Bar Review

Okinawa is the birthplace of karate and a place of pilgrimage for black belts from all over the world. During the day they punch, kick, and block under the tutilage of martial arts legends, then in the evening they eat and drink at the Dojo Bar. British ex-pat James Pankiewicz started the Dojo as place where both locals and foreigners could mingle. Try a shot of goya juice.

    great night out in Naha

What a great way to meet people and relax after a hard days training,Well priced food and Drinks, James and his staff are fantastic and are a wealth of knowledge,if the weather is good ask James to organise a BBQ on the beach, you won't be disappointed.

Great place to meet up with friends or meet new ones

The Dojo bar is a fun place to meet new people. If you don't speak Japanese, don't worry, they speak English. If you don't speak English, they speak Japanese. If you speak neither, chances are someone in the bar/restaurant can help. Besides the Karate themed pictures and artifacts, you can also find a collection of interesting books. It is now almost a requirement for any Karateka who visits the island to visit.

Great meetingplace for karate / kobudo people

Great place, with good food and cold Orion, a must for first timers to Okinawa, here you will meet other karate/kobudo friends from all over the world. And from James you can always get solid information, see you there.
