Visitor Information

The Nara City Tourist Information Office (Kintetsu Nara Station, 29 Naka-machi, Higashi-muki, Nara-shi. 0742/24-4858) is on the first floor of Kintetsu Nara Station and is open daily 9-5. Another Nara City Tourist Information Office (JR Nara Station, 1 Banchi Sanjo, Hon-machi, Nara-shi. 0742/22-9821), open daily 9-5, is at JR Nara Station.

Nara City Tourist Information Center (23-4 Kami-sanjo-cho, Nara-shi. 0742/22-3900) is open daily 9-9, but the English-speaking staff are only on duty until 7 PM. The center is a 10-minute walk from both Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station and has free maps, sightseeing information in English, a souvenir corner, and a lounge.
