Kashikojima
Getting Here and Around
Kashikojima can be reached on the Kintetsu Line from Toba or Nagoya or by bus from Toba. To take a coastal route, get off the train at Ugata and take a bus to Nakiri; then change buses for one to Goza, where frequent ferries return across the bay to Kashikojima.
It's possible to follow the coast from Kashikojima to the Kii Peninsula, but there is no train, and in many places the road cuts inland, making the journey long and tedious. From Kashikojima or Toba you are better off taking the Kintetsu Line back to Ise to change to the JR Sangu Line and travel to Taki, where you can take the JR Kisei Line south to the Kii Peninsula.
