Propeller Drive Review

To be seen with the in crowd, be sure to drop by the bar and café known as Propeller Drive. It's open late every night, and you are practically guaranteed to see some of the prettiest and most stylishly dressed women in the world—Hakata Bi-jin—as well as a few confident guys who are invigorated rather than intimidated by this. It's fancy, but there's no cover charge. All three floors have white stucco walls, and the second floor has a wonderful overhang with tables where you can sit and enjoy the lovely view. Countless intricately framed mirrors reflect the light of crystal chandeliers. The signature cocktail is a gem called the Love Swallow, a rum-based drink built around a single strawberry frozen in a perfect sphere of ice. Teetotalers will be pleased with the mango lassi, and a snack you won't want to miss is the pasta with bacon in a creamed-spinach sauce.
