Shiroyama Kanko Hotel Review
Also called Castle Park Hotel in brochures, the hotel is on Shiro-yama, site of Takamori's last stand. High enough to provide enviable views but not too far away to be inconvenient, this hotel is famous for its rotemburo baths and fantastic views of both the town and the volcano. It's a 10-minute taxi ride from the JR Kagoshima Chuo Station.
