Fodor's Review

This restaurant offers the best of Satsuma specialties in a maze of private and semiprivate Japanese-style rooms. There's an English-language menu with helpful photos of dishes like kibinago (raw herring), satsuma-age (fish cakes filled with potato or burdock root), and kurobuta tonkotsu (breaded, fried pork cutlets from locally bred black pigs). Set meals range from ¥1,575 to ¥10,500. From the Tenmonkan-dori streetcar stop, walk four blocks north

through the covered arcade and turn left; the restaurant will be on the right.
