Hosokawa Mansion (Kyu-Hosokawa Gyobu-tei)

Hosokawa Mansion (Kyu-Hosokawa Gyobu-tei) Review

The Hosokawa Mansion was built in 1646 for the Hosokawa family, who took power at the behest of Tokugawa in 1611—and whose local lineage produced Japan's still popular former "reformist" Prime Minister Morihiro Hosokawa (served 1993-94).
