Fodor's Review

Because Westerners rarely have the opportunity to experience Japanese traditional arts, this theater's 50-minute show brings a sampling of five together—gagaku (court music), kyomai (Kyoto-style dance), bunraku (puppet theater), kyogen (comic drama), and koto (Japanese harp). During the month of April, witness the Miyako Odori, equally populuar with locals and tourists alike (¥4,500). Before the show there is a tea ceremony.
