Imported spices and the fresh local vegetables are the secret to this Indian restaurant's success. Dishes won't be as spicy as you might expect, but the spinach, lamb, and chickpea curries—not to mention the tandoori chicken—are sumptuous and flavorful. The vegetarian-friendly à la carte menu has some tasty choices like the kulch (a simosa-like pouch stuffed with egg and almond). This second-story restaurant opposite the Royal Hotel has a blend of modern and traditional Indian furnishings and extremely reasonable evening set courses.
