Manzaratei Nishiki

Manzaratei Nishiki Review

The unpretentious vibe, the sense of adventure, and the superb cuisine—Korean, French, and Italian influences feature highly in the playful menu—have made Manzaratei a local favorite. Depending on the season, the ample menu offers crab in vinegar-flavored miso, free-range chicken skewers, or spring rolls with citrusy ponzu dressing. The menu is in Japanese, but ask the staff for recommendations or try one of the multicourse menus. Outdoor dining in the warmer months and counter seating on both floors of the two-story town house let you mingle with other patrons; for more intimate evenings, ask for a table upstairs under the eaves. The restaurant is a block north of the intersection of Shijo-dori and Karasuma-dori.
