Halfway down Shinmonzen street (famous for antique stores) two asymmetrical potted plants frame the white walls and grey latticed windows of this intimate counter restaurant, in business since 2006. No imported flavors are used in the lunch course menus (starting at ¥3,150) of kappo ryori, or Japanese traditional cuisine. That is not to say you won't be surprised, as tozen, or enrapture, in the name implies.
