Grand Prince Hotel Review

Although some distance north of the city center, the deluxe Prince Hotel is regal enough to make you feel like visiting royalty. Rooms are spacious, but the rosy-hued color scheme feels slightly passé compared with other luxury hotels. The quirky architecture makes up for it, though. The doughnut-shaped building provides each room a nice view of the surrounding mountains; the interior corridors overlook a pretty garden. A teahouse beside the pond has demonstrations of the tea ceremony; ask at the helpful concierge desk on the top floor. The French-themed Beaux Sejours is the best pick of the hotel's four eateries. The Kokusai Kaikan subway station is nearby.
