Fodor's Review:
Tatami mats cover the floors, Japanese paintings are on the walls, and there's even a little Zen garden in this hotel, formerly an apartment building. The rooms are like studio apartments, with futons, kettles, and private bathrooms. The communal kitchen, living room, laundry room, and Internet station encourage you to meet other guests and talk to the staff, who speak English and provide sightseeing advice. Tea and coffee are available for free, and there are bikes for rent. Tour Club is a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
