It was modeled after a monastery in Florence, so it's no surprise that the Hotel Monterey has continental furnishings in the stylish rooms and fountains gushing in the Mediterranean-style courtyard. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with terra-cotta floors and tiled bathrooms. It's in a fantastic location, just east of Ikuta Jinja in the heart of San-no-miya.
