Takada-ya

Takada-ya Review

Tonkatsu with soba noodles, tempura with noodles, and curry with noodles are served at this traditionally decorated restaurant favored by shoppers and business people alike. At lunchtime there's a no-smoking rule to allow full appreciation of the soba. Diners are seated in booths and entertained with quiet jazz, and free ban-cha (roasted green tea) is served with all meals. It's on the main street three blocks from the station, opposite the Okuno department store. No English is spoken, but the menu has pictures.
