Otaru Canal Glass Factory (Otaru Unga Kogeikan)

Otaru Canal Glass Factory (Otaru Unga Kogeikan) Review

In the 19th century, Otaru craftsmen made glass buoys and gas lamps for the fishing fleets. Now you can blow your own colorful souvenirs (glasses ¥1,365, tumblers ¥1,785, candleholders ¥1,680) in 90 minutes. Advance reservations are necessary; your creations are ready for you to pick up the next day or can be shipped anywhere for ¥2,000. Touring the factory is free. Children over 10 are welcome to try their puff in the furnace room.
