Hokkaido Restaurants

Eat at local Japanese restaurants for Hokkaido's regional food, which includes delicious seafood and lamb. Many reasonably priced restaurants have a visual display of their menu in the window. If you cannot order in Japanese and no English is spoken, lead the waiter to the window display and point. Outside the cities there may not be many dining choice in the evening, and while large hot spring hotels often have huge buffet dinners, the smaller guest houses excel in food that is locally caught, raised, and picked.
