Pension Puppy Tail

30–16 Wakamatsu-cho, Hakodate, 040-0063, Japan

The garlands of silk flowers might be a bit overwhelming, and so might be the Fukui family's welcoming manner. They speak English and can pick you up from the station, even though it's a 10-minute walk away. Rooms in the newer annex have private bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner should be reserved the day before. What's with the name? The Fukuis thought their red setter's tail looked like the Hakodate part of the Hokkaido map. There is free Wi-Fi, but only in the lobby.
