The outlook called Snow View can be reached on foot or horseback, and there's a Tibetan monastery on the way. Tourists commonly take a gondola ride (the "Ropeway") to Snow View from town, which runs roughly—read: not reliably—9:30 to 1 and 2 to 5 daily.
