Cheena Peak

Fodor's Review:

A fabulous place to take in Nainital's famous Himalayan views is Cheena Peak (Chinese Peak). The highest point near Nainital, at 2,611 meters (8,566 feet), it was technically renamed Naini Peak after India's 1962 war with China. You can reach the peak on foot or rent a horse and ride over.
