Le Dupleix Review

Although this cornerside luxury hotel was once an 18th-century villa and is named for a colonial governor, it's not a period piece. The common spaces have been updated with modern touches like exposed granite and stylish, slatted wooden tables and chairs for the courtyard's restaurant. Each of the rooms is different, with touches that might include a striking ceiling panel from a maharaja's palace, or an antique bed. All include large windows and soaring ceilings, but the cheaper rooms are a little small. Those staying here also have the use of the small pool at the Promenade, Dupleix's sister property.
